This can lead to a dangerous cycle that ultimately leads to you feeling unmotivated. In order to win back some of that motivation, it would be a good idea to spend up to 30 minutes organizing your space and decluttering it of unnecessary papers. In an office environment, it can grow tiresome to work all day indoors, especially if you have a window view of the beautiful weather outside. If your day permits, take a few minutes to enjoy the weather outdoors. Perhaps you’ll slip out to take a five-minute walk to the coffee shop. Maybe your office has an area for outside seating that you can work at for a short period of time. Either way, getting some fresh air can be a motivating factor for completing your work, not to mention the numerous mental health benefits that fresh air can have on an individual.
Encourage Others
It may seem counterproductive to encourage others when you yourself are in need of encouragement. However, fostering this type of environment will only pay off in the long run. Even though you may need to be the first individual to speak out an encouraging word, this will motivate others to do the same. Before you know it, you’ll receive some encouragement back. In many cases, receiving encouragement can be the most motivating factor in one’s career. If you’re not receiving encouragement yet, begin encouraging others and reflect back on the times you’ve been encouraged in the past.
