The Norah Jones Song That Always Gets Me Through -A Creative’s Inspiration

In difficult times the world needs art more than ever but what do artists and creative’s need?

We need the same as well as connection with a tribe of creatives.

We need a pulse, a vibe to catch and ride.
We need to ride the waves of creative flow.

We need inspiration.

We need our muses and we need love.

Lately, I have been thinking of my last relationship and how it ended.

After I left he mailed my book outline back to me along with odd pages of writing.

This is love I have come to realize.

Every relationship serves as a lesson and today I think back and laugh at the Nora Jones song that I shared with my then-lover a sharing of laughter and artistic drive.

The song has always helped my creative flow.

The song is “ Come Away With Me” It is about love of course but to me it is a creative inquiry into love and creative pursuits.

Most creatives are attracted and drawn to other creatives.

We don’t just simply fall in love with people we fall in love with the creative life force that flows through them.

As creatives we are conduits to this creative energy and we download and release out to the world and into each other.

The union of this synergistic mixing is like no other and it can be a spiritual levelling up as well.

I recall laughing at the of lyrics with my former lover and crying while listening another time.
Creatives bond by sharing artistic pieces they love and sharing their own.

This is a way that  we share and express our thoughts, feeling and desires.

We creatives emote and bring with us our own life experiences.

Relationships for artists are one of the most expansive and expressive ways that we grow.

Like most creatives the work comes while I am busy living.

I write everywhere when the spirit moves on trains, buses and on planes.

I write when driving and after I arrive.

I write and create while experiencing joy, love, heartache, grief and loss. I often do this while listening to music or writing and making music myself.

Today listening to Nora sing my heart settles and flutters.

We all need to listen to the Blues so our hearts can learn to sing.

As I write this I’m listening with my ear buds while getting my hair done in a busy salon.

My mantra today is “ I’m here and now and free to live, love and grow.

I am open to give and receive love.
Find your own mantra dear ones!

Here are the lyrics to the song that helps me when nothing else can.

“ Come Away With Me” by Nora Jones

Come away with me in the night
Come away with me
And I will write you a song
Come away with me on a bus
Come away with me where they can’t tempt us
With their lies

I want to walk with you
On a cloudy day
In fields where the yellow grass grows
knee kigh
So won’t you try to come

Come away with me and we’ll kiss
On a mountain top
Come away with me
And I’ll never stop loving you

And I want to wake up with the rain
Falling on a tin roof
While I’m safe there in your arms
So all I ask is fo you
To come away with me in the night
Come away with me

Play “Come Away With Me”
on Apple Music
Thank you, sweet Nora!
