Embracing heartbreak: A letter to your healing heart

Oh boy, I know it’s tough.
Your heart’s been broken, cobbled back together, and then broken again.
Sometimes, it’s felt like you can hardly breathe because the pain is too much.
It’s a pain that you can’t make go away.
No band-aid, painkiller, or salve will do anything to help alleviate the gut-wrenching pain you feel.
You may not have even fully felt the pain yet, just locked it away deep, deep, deep down in a box labeled ‘Nope, not going there.’
I’m here to tell you, it’s okay.
Your pain is valid, my gorgeous soul.
But closing off your heart isn’t the answer.
Because when you close it and build a cage/stone wall/ice fortress around your heart, you’re
not able to feel all the love that’s available to you!
I promise you it’s worth the pain to feel all the joy, love, and bliss that’s right at your fingertips.
Your heart is wanting you to acknowledge the pain it’s gone through, no matter how small or inconsequential your logical brain thinks it is. Pain is pain, and your pain is valid!
But here’s the kicker.
You need to feel it fully!
Surrender to the pain.
Let it out.
I promise it will move faster through your system than you realize.
It just needs a voice.
To shine the light of compassion and love on it.
To acknowledge it and tell your heart:
‘I see you, I’m sorry for the pain this has caused you, I love you, it’s time to let go.’
When you shine light on the pain, it will dissipate like the shadows in a dark room when the light is turned on.
And then you need to make a promise to yourself that you’ll keep your heart open.
That you’ll let love in.
That you’ll love life and the people in it with your whole heart.
Because that’s what you were put on this earth for.
To love and be loved.
And the only way to do that is to open your heart and let love in.
You are so loved, more than you know.
You are worth loving.
You are lovable.
I love you.
So, so much.
Your loving heart and intuition.
