Fraud

I label myself.

You caught it early.

You’re so lucky.

No chemo…

JUST

surgery and radiation.

Warrior

They label me.

Fighting not just the cancer,

Not just the depression,

But the betrayal of my own body.

Imposter

I label myself.

Worked through radiation.

Wore a mask…”I’m ok.”

You’re so strong,

They tell me.

Kindness

I give myself.

Would I be so hard on anyone else?

I had cancer.

No matter how “early” or “small.”

Survivor

I call myself.

Blessed and healing

I claim for myself.

Alive

I label myself.
