I love a small business who treats their employees, animals, and customers right. Holy Lamb is one such, and I’ve loved them for years.
As a vegan who hates plastic (which kills billions of animals both indirectly through climate crisis and directly through litter ingested into unsuspecting hungry fish, birds, whales, bears), Holy Lamb offers some of the only wool I’ll buy firsthand. I’ve supported them for years.
Recently, my lovely wife and I were lucky enough to have a baby, a darling little angel. Holy Lamb had sent us a bunch of helpful goodies for comfort during pregnancy that are all organic, and help just as much now that mom is in bed with our baby, and will serve us for years if not decades after.
Wool, as you likely know, is clean—naturally anti-microbial, and wicks sweat and dirt in a way that poly plastic claims to, but can not. With so much in our homes shedding microplastics—not just clothing, but bedding, paint, rug/underlayment, online shopping deliveries and food it’s vital to clean our spaces of plastic dust, particularly for developing babies and children.
I really admire them, genuinely, as a company: Holy Lamb Organics production facilities are GOTS and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Certified, they ship zero waste (paper not plastic tape, etc.), they seem to try to make sure that the sheep they source from are well-treated though I’d love to know more. As I note, plastic hurts and kills animals directly and indirectly both.

Here’s my wife, Kelsey’s, more detailed write up (she wrote this just before our home birth) about the goodness that we received and use on the daily:
“With weeks (or days!) until our baby is here, Holy Lamb is helping us make our postpartum nest healthy and ethical for our family and the planet.
Surrounding our baby with organic wool gives baby the feeling of safety and support and me the peace of mind that they are held by the coziest natural fibers.
If you’re a parent, you know the easier cleanup the better when it comes to accidents, and the antimicrobial, moisture-wicking quality of wool helps keep cleanups easy. Aside from napping on Mom and Dad, our baby will be spending the most time sleeping on the HLO mattress topper, so I feel good about them snoozing on a mattress with zero chemicals or plastics.
The buddy pillow has been a perfect support for my back when I side sleep, and keeps me in good sleeping alignment for our baby. We will also use it to double as a bed bumper when we cosleep!
The neck roll keeps my head relaxed when upright and reading—I also use it vertically on my spine to alleviate pregnancy-related lower back pain.
I love that the puddle pad and crib mattress topper, along with all of Holy Lamb Organic’s offerings, are made from premium, mindfully-sourced eco wool (hypo-allergenic, naturally breathable and anti-microbial) so I feel good about our baby sleeping, hopefully soundly, in cozy quality materials!
I’ve adored Holy Lamb Organics for my pregnancy.”
