On the surface, she’s calm and collected.
In her soul, she’s loved and protected.
But in her mind, her past still cries,
Her fear of failure, and it’s demise.
She’s been through this, all before,
Her ego’s memory, she can’t ignore.
It tells her stories, of her years,
It whispers memories, of her fears.
Reminding her, of times she failed,
When she stumbled, ran, and bailed.
“You could barely stand up, on your own,
Your true potential , was never known.”
Her soul was restless, annoyed by the mind.
She was tired of finding, herself in a bind.
This constant battle of ego and soul,
It’s becoming heavy, and taking it’s toll.
Her soul’s heartbeat, began to pound,
So loud in fact, you could hear the sound.
The sound consumed, her ego too,
Replacing her fears, with a different view.
The ego retreated, tail between it’s legs,
“Listen to me!!!!” It screamed, cried, and begs.
But the sound of her soul, drowned all of it’s pleas,
And the sound of love, brought ego to it’s knees.
Her soul knew how, to silence the mind,
She just had to be louder, and had to remind,
“Don’t trust that voice, that speaks in fear,
And take comfort, that I’m always here,
To remind you of the power you bring,
The power to overcome, your everything.” @lovelightlive333
