Lake Natron is one of the most mysterious lakes that have its own unique story behind the mystery of the lake. It is found that the lake has the superpower to turn animals into the stones. When it was first found in the images, it seems to be shocking but little bit something interesting.

The lake has alkaline sea water which has a pH of about 10.5 and the water is so caustic that it can cause burning in the skin and in the eyes of those living animals that are not adapted to it. However, it is observed that the water became alkaline because of minerals like the sodium carbonate and other minerals which flow into the lake from the surrounding hills.

Moreover, those living organisms that are not adapted to the water of the lake turn to the stone and also some of the animals die after coming in contact with the water.
