Such times come with purpose.

Such times come with destiny.

But most of all, such times come with learnings.

Learnings that are core to our very being and yet long abandoned, forgotten, that have even come undone. With life. With living.

Like they always made us think it was a zero-sum game after all; to win you got to defeat the rest. You can only win if they don’t, and they if you.

And then times such as these come by and throw in the towel on games we took so long, games we played so hard. They spin the ball, they change the rules. And before you know you’re playing by new rules.

This time.

This one time.

You win if your neighbours win.

You win if your colleagues rock it.

You win when everybody else fly.

And then it teaches more.

That we are connected at our guts, conjoint almost, in wyas our eyes cannot see without the lens of fear. That we cannot separate as much we try, and the only way to come undone is to stop, stay quiet. Hush. Indoors. Go inside.

And still we remain what we always were, a chain of links. Linked by our very breathe.

We become the air we breathe, the air becomes us. This air, this is us. This is ours. To keep safe.

And this earth. Its inmates. Sans the go.

That, to be selfish is to be selfless, so that we admire the process of which we are a part. Miniscule, yet infinite. Indefinite. We can make, or break. Each single one of us. A sum, and a whole.

And that, what is more: it is only in a greater good that any good will ever come to us.

Let us help us win this one time. Let me help you win, so you help me win too. We are in it together, shit or sunshine. Earth and air. And everything in between.

We are not zero-sum.
