We unfolded our map, spread it on the floor,
Then began to shape our love atop the world.
You caressed me on the corners of China,
And we tumbled through the Middle East.
We explored the contours of hidden Africa,
Unearthing the feral creature within.
I sullied you with desire over France,
Blue, black, and purple patches shrouding an immaculate sky.
Though we ignited in Dresden, it couldn’t conclude there.
Refreshed in the Rhineland, we journeyed onwards.
My nomadic mate, you are not the first
And you will not be my last, but
Let us savour the flavours that Italy
Has yet to offer wanderers like us.
For soon the map will be pleated and closed
As we detach, and move on to chart fresh forms.
