I am Water—Unharnessed & Untamed.

I am the water,

turbulent,

untamed,

unharnessed;

this wildness

is both what intrigues you

to me,

and what

makes me

challenging

to

navigate.

You have to feel me to understand my rhythm—

I do not run by any ordinary compass.

No,

my compass crosses planes

and dimensions.

I am unpredictable, yet constant;

firm, but flexible.

I lean in and adapt

to the shapes

and forms

around me.

I can mold,

and I can soak in.

I can dry up, evaporate—

yet still fall overhead again.

I am the water

that allows

you,

us,

to float.

If you don’t

see,

am

the container

of wonder,

play,

and bewilderment.

I am the depths

of what is beneath

the surface,

yet clear

as the sun

in the overwash

of day.

I am the water—this is why you love me.

But you cannot tame me.

I will forever be wild,

and will forever need to be

allowed the freedom

to be wild—

with that,

I need your support.

To hold me.

To wrap around me.

And to let me flow in and out

of my wild states

of deep calm and solitude

and quiet

to my fierce fits of ravage

and wildness

and rage.

I need the solitude of you,

with me, not against me.

Then I will share

my gems of the world

with you too.
