When I was a child my mom gave me a book of haiku by Ikkyu. He was my favorite through the years, though I liked Kerouac’s a great deal, too (check out Pomes all Sizes). The below haiku is perfectly in line with our mission here at elephant—which was, partially, named after the aphorism of the blind men and the elephant. ~ ed.
Many paths lead from the foot of the mountain
But at the peak we all gaze at the single bright moon.
Just awaken to the truth; how and where do not matter.
