They were giving away “old” flowers at our local supermarket. Walking home, I inhaled deeply, and felt a smile sweep over my face from deep within my soul. And I realised, no matter how worthless those flowers seemed to the shop owner, it truly is the little things in life that remind us that we’re blessed. Those flowers turned out to be exactly what I needed in order to smile for no obvious reason at all. Sometimes, just sometimes, we get a little reminder to stop and smell the flowers.
