This article will be a great help for you if you are a beginner at painting. Painting your room walls can be the first surface you ever paint. No one is perfect, so you should never fear trying out new things.

Titan 440i parts are one of the best tools to use while painting. Painting is also the best way to satisfy yourself. You can always start painting as there are such strict rules for that.

You can re-do your room without spending a lot of money. Pocket money will be enough to paint your walls. You can follow this article as it will guide you on how to paint step by step.

Let’s start!

1.     Make a Plan First.

Making the plan in detail is essential. It will give you an idea of how your room will look after the paint. Think and perform your research thoroughly before executing it.

Plan everything out such as the following:

  • The pattern you will create on the walls.
  • The technique and order you will follow.
  • Attach pictures of the inspirations you have from the research, as it will give an idea of whether you are going in the right direction or not.

2.   Select the Color.

Choosing the right color is the most important in giving your room the best look. It is so prominent that it can even make your room look bad if it goes wrong. You have to decide which tone of color you want you to go for, such as the following:

  • Dark
  • Neutral
  • Mixed
  • Warm

You should choose a color combination that goes with the furniture of your room.

3.   Collect all the Tools Necessary for Painting.

You need to have all the tools available before you start painting. You can’t make your painting stop and run out to buy more tools, as it will ruin your painting. You have to paint one single wall or area in one go. Some of the basic tools that you will require are:

  • Paint Roller
  • Paint Brush
  • Tape
  • Paint
  • Extension Pole to paint higher, etc.

4.   Make an Estimate of How Much Paint You Will Require.

It is good to prepare yourself for every possibility that can occur in the future. Estimate the paint you will need for all the areas. If you are painting a single room, keep at least two gallons of the paint.

To avoid uneven color tone on the walls, you have to mix appropriate paint at the start so that it doesn’t run out in the future.

5.    Cover and Remove the furniture.

You need to empty the room before you start with the painting. If removing the furniture is hard, you can cover it with newspaper. It will help you save your furniture from any spill-outs of the paint.

6.   Clean the Walls.

If you want smooth paint on the walls, you need to clean them before painting. You can use a wet cloth to clean the dirt from the walls. It will help you paint smoothly, as it will stick to the wall more strongly. If your wall stays dirty, the paint will eventually come off or not provide a nice look.

7.    Tape the Areas you Don’t Want to Paint.

Taping the areas is the best option if you want to give a pattern to your walls. Apply the tape as it will prevent the paint in those areas. You can also protect things from painting, such as switches, wires, etc. Tape is a helpful tool to have while painting.

8.   Prepare your Paint and Start Painting.

Now, after completing the above steps, you can start preparing your paint. After mixing the colors, you can fill the roller with paint and begin painting from upwards to downwards. Continue painting in the same direction as the way you started it.

9.   Let the Paint Dry Out.

Do not overlap different paints when they are wet. It will ruin the look of your room. Before you start with a new painting, you need to wait for it be dry out completely. Add another coat following the steps above again to give a smooth look.

Conclusion: Wall Painting Process Step by Step.

To be a good painter,  you need to have patience. By following the above steps, you can achieve your goal of painting your walls. It is not that hard as you only have to follow some rules to paint your walls.

Never change the direction of the paint you are doing. Continue painting the same area before it drys out, as it causes it to become uneven. Keep in mind to use the same tool for one surface as changing it may result in unequal painting.

Best of luck!
