Rich Boys, No Rules: More Precious Lives Taken.
Eric and Donald Trump Jr., you’re fired.
I will never understand hunting for fun. I cannot sit here and pretend to agree with the reasoning I have heard.
I feel like “Big Game” hunting is the worst of its kind. Wealthy people pay upward of $100,000 to shoot big game in Africa—with challenge at a minimum—and I’m sure almost none of that money is given to the poorer people of the region.
The most prized hunts are the so-called “Big Five”: the leopard, lion, rhino, elephant and buffalo. Never mind that four of the five animals being hunted are endangered. Thing one and thing two up there are seen with a dead elephant, crocodile, kudu, leopard and a waterbuck.
Donald Jr. defended himself through his twitter account saying:
“I hunt and eat game. I am a hunter, I don’t hide from that.”
He also denies that the kills are wasteful:
“I can assure you it was not wasteful the villagers were so happy for the meat which they don’t often get to eat. Very grateful.”
It scares me to hear how openly and freely people admit their enjoyment in killing other beings. It makes my skin crawl.
Even The Donald has publicly admitted that he does not like hunting, nor does he like the fact that his sons enjoy it.
People with as much wealth and power as these two possess should find better things to do with their time. Just another example of how money corrupts?
