Jimmie Dale Gilmore is one of the greatest singer-songwriters alive, and a significant person in the American Buddhist scene: among other things, he has authored a couple of wonderful pieces for Tricycle; been the subject of a profile in Shambhala Sun; and played “Smokey” in the Coen Brothers’ The Big Lebowski, which has become a favorite among Buddhists. Here he is performing one of his loveliest songs at the Omega Institute:
