Bec Ordish

Bec Ordish wears many hats through which she explores her passions and purpose—inspirationalist, social entrepreneur, development innovator, coach, teacher, learner, writer, lawyer, traveller, listener, storyteller, and healer. She is curious about life, a lifelong learner who believes that everyone we meet knows something that we don’t so she sees each meeting as an opportunity to learn. She currently divides her time between Nepal and Australia and has lived and worked in Shanghai and Singapore as well. Some of her current passions include: to inspire others to reach for their dreams; to encourage conversations to change people’s understanding of education; to transfer Nepal’s view of itself from being a poor country that needs lots of help to one of commitment and hard work toward its amazing future; to transform the development language to one of compassion and wellness rather than poverty alleviation; to engage in conversations around mutually beneficial voluntourism; to demystify intellectual property especially as a tool for sustainable development.
