Why does he do this? Because all of his experiences as a child and young adult have taught him that so many of us go through life believing the lies we’re told. The lies of “you’ll never amount to anything.” “You’re a piece of sh*t,” “You’re a burden,” “You’re unlovable,” and so on. He knows from experience how devastating those lies are to our well-being. Only when we face the root cause and see it for what it is, a lie, only then can we change our story.
