His professional success has led his firm MMR to be recently inducted into the LSU College of Engineering’s Society for Engineering Excellence. This society was founded in 2008 and inducts those who make donations of 1 million dollars or more to LSU’s College of Engineering. The donations made by MMR of extremely instrumental in the education of LSU’s eager engineering students. The money will lead to the construction of two new engineering laboratories: a building simulation and information modeling studio, and an advanced materials and methods laboratory. Students who utilize these resources will be armed with the skills and experience to get them on track for successful careers in the construction industry. In addition to this donation, Pepper Rutland and MMR also provides opportunities to LSU students majoring in construction management and athletes through its internships and summer jobs.
