Tribute in Light: McCain and Obama Meet for the Anniversary of 9/11.

I look forward to seeing the coverage of McCain and Obama meeting at the World Trade Center site tomorrow. But for now, on the eve of September 11th, I’m feeling more reflective than concerned with politics. Yes I’ll be back to being concerned about the election and our country’s next leader in about oh, 12 hours, but I do think that taking a moment, a breath, is important. I’m sad I’m not in New York on this anniversary as I have been for the past four. I always loved the Tribute in Light memorial and above are some of the best photos that I could find that I wanted to share. When I lived in NYC, I’d either go up on the rooftop of my old apartment and sit with my friends to gaze at it, or I’d gather with others at the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. This year, I’ll likely sit by the Boulder Creek, remember to take a moment before I become reactionary in my interactions, have the sincerest gratitude, and call my Momma. A good start.
