Get ready to celebrate and show your support for what I think is the most exciting trend in sustainability: green jobs!

In Boulder CO this Sunday, 1/18? Come on out for a green jobs rally at the Band Shell (Canyon and Arapahoe). We’ll show our support for President Elect Obama and his plan to create 2.5 million new jobs in renewable energy, fuel-efficient cars, green infrastructure and education two days before his inauguration. Starting at 1:30 p.m., the event will include tabling by local non-profits, speeches by State Representative Claire Levy, Boulder County Commissioner Will Toor, and a representative from Clean Energy Action.

Wear green and bring signs! A group photo will be taken at 2:00 p.m. to be sent as a sign of support and enthusiasm for this movement to local and state governments and Obama. A short march on Pearl Street is to follow.

Want to learn more about the green collar movement? Read about our country’s national day of mobilization, Green Jobs Now. Watch Majora Carter speak at TED. See Van Jones in the New Yorker. Enjoy seeing them both being interviewed by Simran Sethi!

See you there with green beret on!

Thanks! Love the enthusiasm! I’ll be there! CO is not English, it’s Postal! Use Colo! You rule! More folk should feel free to email [email protected] with their mindful worthy events and we’ll post ’em up if we love them!

If the Recycling Revolution flag has been found, please, please raise it at your rally? My Great Aunt Winnie would be proud…
