Lest we forget

Red poppies on black suits.

November 11th, Remembrance Day (Veterans Day).

A day to honour all who serve, who have served and who have given the ultimate sacrifice in maintaining freedom and peace.

In remembering I rediscover and recognize heroes: the everyday soldiers who put their lives on the line.

Today at 11:00 am, I will take a moment to hug into my core the courage, the sacrifice, the pride. My legs will remain strong in support. My mind will recall valiant ancestors and fallen friends. My heart will be open in gratitude. I will remember and I will love.
