Help an Aspiring Yogi Overcome Adversity with Your Vote. ~ Christian Eaton
A young man’s dream is on the verge of coming true, but he needs your help.
I am eccentric, playful, exciting, peaceful, jubilant, queer, courageous, curious, creative, independent, intuitive, blessed. I am a scientist, a friend, a jokester, a lover, a university-graduate, a son, a brother, but above all, a student of life. I am Christian Eaton.
Yoga helped me get here. Over the past two years, I wove yoga into my life and it helped me balance and align both my body and mind. It plays a larger role now than it ever did, and I currently have an amazing opportunity to win a scholarship for a yoga teacher training in Thailand.
Everyone has a story. Here, I tell one of my chapters. All within the same week at the start of August, my father suddenly died, I graduated from university, and I moved away from my college town, losing a room of my own to call home. I had been dealt three huge blows, and my familiar life suddenly seemed foreign to me. During a low period, I returned to yoga to nourish my life with consistent helpings of stability.
I am ecstatic to further develop my connection with yoga and bring it to a deeper level. I hope to win a scholarship to Tribe Yoga’s Ashtanga & Vinyasa flow teacher training in North Thailand, but need your help in getting there. The way I can win this competitive scholarship is by receiving your votes. It takes less than a minute to vote, and I would truly appreciate all of your support. There are about 100 people in the scholarship contest from around the world, and I am one of only two males in it. Best of all, I am in the top five, but still need lots more support to push me into first! Everybody has their story. Connect to mine here.
I graciously ask for your vote by going to my story, then:
- Leave a comment/response at the bottom of the page.
- Click the Facebook “like” button underneath my photo.
- Click the Twitter “tweet” button underneath my photo.
All three count as votes, which means you can vote three times.
Though I may be a stranger to you, I strongly encourage you to vote: I see and read every vote, they mean a lot to me, and they all truly make a difference! Whether it’s your vote or sharing my story, I truly appreciate your support. I wouldn’t be able to do it without you, so a tremendous and heart-felt thanks to you. Voting ends Dec 31st, when the next part of my journey begins!
