Knock Knock: Its Your Truth.

Light by Mayur Godbole

Oh Steve Jobs…how your words throw the mind for a whirl!

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary”

Irrespective of the amount of times you read his words, they always force you to revisit yourself as You. It sucks you into the contemplation of your choices—physical and mental. It takes you into the depths of your thought processes, attitude and habits. Your psyche wills you to ask, “Have been true to yourself?” Most of us may not know what that question even means or where to begin in answering it.

Becoming lost in the world of stimuli and conjecture is absurdly easy.

We start living the way we’re “supposed to” with rules, cultural norms and stifling expectations. Somehow, we get lost and the truth that defines us; which forms us… ceases to exist.

What is your truth?

Truth is the understanding of your role in the world as a human being and member of a species that is working to undo past induced calamities.

It involves contemplating what your needs & aspirations are on all realms of life and if you can recognize your instinct’s calling.

It’s the will to discover and perhaps rediscover individuals and events that have the power to transform you for the better. Fear, love, tribulation and courage are all part and parcel of finding your truth, which is, if simply put, a connotation for recognizing yourself and your layers on the deepest level.

So, thank you, Steve Jobs, for once again swirling the mind into a vortex of contemplations. With each turn, more clutter gets sifted out.
