Wanted: Rainbow Warriors.

Photo: Native American Encyclopedia

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
~ Native American Proverb

I hope humanity can come together and stop ravaging the earth. Sooner rather than later.

I don’t understand why we can’t—as a society—embrace the idea of living sustainably.

I live as mindfully as I can but I’m not perfect. I don’t have all the answers about how I can make a difference. I just do my best, one moment at a time.

I refuse to throw my hands up in defeat. Or to say it’s too late (as some claim) to do something about it.

I have a son and what would he think of me if I just gave up? His future—our children’s future—depends on us. Can’t we toss our differences in politics and religion aside and stand together? If not for us, for them?

I’m going to be a warrior of the rainbow. Today and tomorrow. Are you with me? I hope so.
