I love it so
I love it so when you grab my hand,
just a gentle grab that reminds me to hold on.
I love it so when you sweep your hair out of your eyes,
a perfect reminder to clear my eyes from what clouds them.
I love it so when you buy that sweet, artificial tea,
it is a gulp a day of how sweet life truly is, a testament of gratitude.
I love it so when you start a pillow fight or pretend to box.
Again I feel like the child that seemed to slip through time.
I love it so when you say “I love it so…”
It humbles me in my native tongue and shows me an unlikely phrasing can be an opportunity for new ears.
I love it so that you are so willing to love it so.
