4 Reasons We Should be Drinking Lemon Water.

Benefits of drinking lemon water

I have been drinking lemon water for quite a few years now. It is one of the basic rules I follow for a healthy life

Living a healthy life is something I have been following diligently for the past few years. Whether it is sticking to buying a fresh produce to cook my meals or growing my own veggies in my tiny little garden, it is a lovely and an enriching experience that I am gaining.

Drinking lemon water has immense health benefits. I do give up drink lemon water for short durations in a year when I know it starts affecting the enamel of my teeth. It is very important that you mix enough water with the juice of a lemon so that the properties are diluted. I prefer drinking this the first thing in the morning on an empty stomach as soon as I wake up. I don’t eat anything for at least half an hour post drinking the water.

Drinking lemon juice with water ( preferably warm) has immense health benefits and I am sharing four benefits with you that work wonderfully with me.

1. Helps in digestion.

One my favourite drinks that I accompany with a lemon is fresh lemon juice with a bit of salt and sugar.  Why? Because it helps to aid a healthy digestion and eliminating the toxins from the digestive tract. Lemon juice also helps to reduce symptoms of indigestion and heartburn. So if I have overeaten a meal, I always drink a glass of lemon juice that helps to settle the digestion process.

2. Boosts the immune system.

Lemon water is loaded with Vitamin C. It works wonders whether is is flushing out the toxins from the body or just helping me get through a packed day by refreshing me. Yes, it does work, on a high stress day, all I need to do is drink a glass of lemon juice and I am ready to conquer the stress levels!

3. Makes us look good!

Let’s face it, when the toxins are flushed out from the body your skin automatically begins to look awesome. It is an excellent source to decrease the wrinkles and blemishes and I noticed my skin brighter when I drink the lemon juice. Lemon juice has loads of antioxidants that helps to boost the skin appearance and make it look radiant. And the best incentive? Lemons contain pectin fiber, which assists in fighting hunger cravings so it can help you lose weight the natural way

4. Gives us the required energy boost.

Lemon has healing properties, so I use the essential oils in a diffuser to calm and rejuvenate the tired me. Similarly lemon juice can help to provide the body with the required energy levels.  Did you know drinking lemon water can also help to reduce anxiety and depression? This is also an excellent drink to keep the viral infections and sore throat at bay!

Of course, a little bit of research will assure you that there are more than just these four benefits that lemon water has! Include this wonder drink in your diet today!
