A Brief History of Standing. ~ Laurence Musgrove {Poem}

qigong standing man nature

The Qigong master unfolds

A brief history of standing

And I see in the mirror

My feet drink the floor.

The brief history of standing

Unfolds a vertical man

And my feet drink the floor

Rooting into stone.

The unfolded man asks

Am I worthy today?

Questions like stones

Root in my heart.

Am I worthy today

To follow the master?

I see in the mirror

My long history of stones.
