A Mindful Walk. ~ Chloe Williams {Poem}

girl green garden walking summer

One foot falls, hitting the ground just above the other. You feel the ground supporting you, holding you up, never once faltering.

Another step, another breath, another trouble forgotten.

Upon your next inhale, you notice the smells. Freshly mowed lawns, the scent of a rainfall, the sweet nothingness of the air. Close your eyes. Breath out. Expel all negativity from your heart, through your lungs.

Now, open your eyes. Take in the scenery. Houses old and new, cracks in pavements flourishing with weeds and clovers in each tiny crevice. Cats wandering with their head and tails held high with pride, the leaves wilting before trembling, and finally falling.

Taste the air. The refreshing absence of sensation on your taste buds.

Feel the wind tickle your skin. Feel it ghost over your pores and kiss your flesh.

Let nature envelope you.

Let it take you completely.

Allow the world to stop for a moment. Breathe, and remember these simple moments.
