The Mindful Life Illustrated: What we can do to Find Peace in a Turbulent World.

DO NOT REUSE 25_-_Take_Comfort

Sometimes the world feels cold, harsh and inhospitable.

Sometimes we see more suffering and death than we do joy and life.

Sometimes hope feels like it’s out of reach.

At times like this—when we feel we need a little more comfort and protection around us—we can find it by shifting our focus for a moment. We can rest our attention on the things in our life that give us hope—the things we cherish—-and in drawing them closer, buffer our hearts a little from the cold.

We can look inward, to ourselves and our personal pursuits and outward to helping others and knowing the love of friends and family. If we can spend time developing and encouraging these things in our lives we can then use them as a place to go to when the world becomes overwhelming.

Cherish those who makes you feel loved and give these relationships the time and attention they need to thrive.

Cherish yourself and the things you can do with your life which will help create more loving-kindness for the world.

You are a great tool for change and your passions are the key to opening the door to that change.

The world around us is turbulent and ever-changing. We are each responsible for finding a balance for ourselves and others on this constant shifting ground.

But we can also strengthen our foundations and inner walls by using the love and passion inherent in us, and around us.

These little fountains of joy, passion and love can sustain us when it seems barren out there. They can give us the strength and courage we will need to face the comings and goings of this world.
