Saturn in Capricorn: What does it Mean?

Happy Birthday, fellow Capricorns!

Ah, it’s a wonderful time to be a goat.

I celebrated my birthday on December 22nd, which is the first day of Capricorn season. This is an especially exciting period for us: Saturn entered Capricorn on December 19th, 2017, and will remain until March 21st, 2020.

Known for being tenacious, stubborn, resourceful, loyal, and wise beyond our years, Capricorns will do whatever it takes to climb to the top of the mountain. We have deep ambitions; when in the right mental state, no one can get in our way.
However, sometimes this leaves us alone and cold—but that doesn’t deter us from our goals.

Saturn is the ruling planet of Capricorn, making us practical and responsible, yet also a bit distant at times. Sure, we can be unforgiving, but it’s important for us to protect ourselves. We’re people on a mission and the embodiment of healthy boundaries.

As 2017 comes to a close, now is the time to let go to what no longer serves us, to focus on our intentions, and decide what we want to manifest. You can do anything you set your mind to, dear Capricorn! It’s going to be a powerful three years, so put on your seat belts and get ready.

What does Saturn in Capricorn Mean?

Saturn is known for thoughtfulness, perseverance, slowing down, and introversion. I can certainly relate to this; I’ve spent the past three days cozied up at home with my coffee, notebooks, and laptop. As an Earth sign, Capricorn is already grounded, yet this transit will only amplify the goat’s most powerful strengths: organization, management, and viewing the world pragmatically. An analytical planet, Saturn strengthens our ability to concentrate and achieve our goals.

Preparing for 2018.

Since Saturn is officially in Capricorn for the next three years, it’s going to be an amazing time to find out who we really are, gain confidence in our abilities, and discover our soul’s purpose. According to AstrologyAnswers.com, it’s going to be Capricorn’s time to shine!

As the cardinal sign of Earth ruled by Saturn, you will spend the next three years discovering who you really are. That′s step one of this transit. Step two will be staying true to it. Don′t hide who you are from the world. You are pretty awesome!

You have to be real, and you have to own who you are, and the world is going to eat you up and then some, in wonderful ways. The minute you start stepping outside this circle, and begin showing the world something that is not authentic, Saturn starts putting the squeeze on.

You′ll spend the next three years discovering what your real standards are, and then living up to them, and ensuring others do too. You may be disappointed by some people, but you will move on. Just make sure you aren′t the one not reaching your own standards. Be true to yourself, and you won′t have to worry about this.

Be as real as the Earth signs can be, which is as real as it gets, and you win. Who are you? Why are you here? Saturn is going to help you discover this in the years to come.

Even if you’re not a Capricorn, AstrologyAnswers covers how Saturn will impact each sign of the zodiac for 2018!

Healing Stones for Capricorn.

Ruby

Ruby is the stone of nobility, purpose, passion, and prosperity. This is perfect for the pragmatic and career-driven Capricorn! Known as a gemstone of royalty, it only makes sense for rubies to suit this powerful sign.

Black Onyx

A powerful protection stone, onyx absorbs negative energy, releases negative emotions, and brings good fortune. What Capricorn doesn’t need a little help with balance and harmony?

Agate

Agate is a wonderful balancing stone, improving concentration, perception, and analytical abilities. It also soothes and remedies pain, anxiety, or depression—which can be common for the ever-so-serious Cap.

Garnet

Garnet is a stone of love and passion! It helps to charge sexual energy and alleviates any emotional disharmony. Additionally, garnet strengthens the immune system, cleanses the physical body, and re-energizing the chakras.

Starting the Year on the Right Foot.

It’s time to clean house and make room for what’s to come. Preferring quality over quantity, Capricorn enjoys the finer things in life, but is also very practical.

Why on earth would we own stuff that doesn’t serve? “Junk drawer” just isn’t in our vocabulary! If you’re still combating an overflowing closet or holding onto knick-knacks you don’t need, now is a perfect time to declutter, reorganize, and pick up a minimalist lifestyle. My own life improved drastically when I purged most of my belongings in 2016 and focused on only owning what I love. If you need an extra push, I’ve written about minimalism in length over the past year.

Capricorns adore organization, too. Now is a great time to invest in a new planner or journal. Call me old school, but I absolutely love writing things down, list-making, and physical calendars!

Whatever your sign, 2018 will be an amazing year. Get out those pens, set your intentions, and prepare for what’s to come!
