Teenage Pregnancy – Challenges & How To Overcome Them

In the previous years the society has strictly frown on the possibility of having an unwanted pregnancy, having unwanted pregnancy can be a thing of shame to the people who have it. As time passes by the problem of having a child who is not wanted yet kept growing and growing among the teenage and the situation is yet to be addressed fully.

Teenagers have been caught in this web and it has also affected them in so many areas of their life. They have also find them selves in the situation of not knowing what to do and it has become something of mockery and they seem to have no details about how to deal with situation. There are several challenges teenagers have to face due to having an unwanted pregnancy. Here are few of the challenges they have to face in the society.

Social Stigma: In the society we live in there is already a kind of inappropriate eye that they use to see people who are face with an unwanted pregnancy. This stigma comes from their friends, family and even the society as a whole. If a young girl is not careful during this period she will have to face this curse for the rest of her life.

Lack of financial support: Financial issue is one of the problem a teenager has to face during the process of dealing with an unwanted pregnancy. Most are even force not to undergo antenatal and prenatal care and even majority are often force to give birth inhumane conditions which is against their wish and wants.

Stoppage of education: People who have had to deal with un wanted pregnancy as a teenager will agree with me that it has done more of bad than good to their educational life. it often destroys their chances of getting education mostly the girl dreams of having a complete education becomes shattered at the end of the day which is nothing but a sad event for their future and even the future of the child they plan to have.

Lack of moral support: Most time instead of getting a great moral support from the people that are close to them, they get out casted and they began to experience some life changing occurrence which is a bad thing, which is tend to affect their teenage life. Instead of getting love from the people who are suppose to love them they start getting bad energies from them.

Forced early marriage: Most time when an un wanted pregnancy happens to a teenager they will be forced to have an early marriage which is not what they actually need at that point of their life. Having an unwanted pregnancy force their parent to force them into an early marriage which might be against their wish.

Low self esteem: People who have experience a teenage pregnancy tend to have the issues of low self esteem. They feel isolated and they often prefer to keep to them selves than sharing their feeling with anyone.

Over the years we have also seen people who have had to deal with an early unwanted pregnancy and they were able to come out of the situation stronger and better. For instance, Savannah Soutas who have to deal with an unwanted pregnancy, she stood her ground and today she has become a great person to recon with.
