Did you watch President Trump’s speech on Tuesday night?
The one where he painted a hysterical, racist, and fearful image of the immigrants entering the U.S. from Mexico. (Nothing new here really, as he regularly refers to immigrants as “criminals” and “terrorists.”)
Did the speech make you angry? Did you want to cry? Did you want to stop listening? Check the facts? Did you feel a mix of all the above?
Well, The Daily Show host Trevor Noah is here again to help us to deal with the mix of emotions and confusing thoughts most of us feel when it comes to U.S. politics.
Some days I feel like Noah is the only one capable of making me laugh—and helping me make sense of this nonsense that’s happening in the world right now.
Here is one reaction to the speech:
“Lies, fearmongering, finger-pointing, and a manufactured excuse for shutting down the government. Using the Oval Office to deceive the American people and spout offensive, anti-immigrant rhetoric proves, once again, that Donald Trump is unfit to serve as president.” ~ DNC Chair Tom Perez
If you felt unimpressed (as many of us did), this tweet by the Congressman Justin Amash of Michigan might compress your thoughts:
Nobody convinced anybody.

I highly recommend watching the video till the very end—it’s the best part. The message, recorded in 2004 is a bit different from the one the president preaches today. Just watch it:
Oh man, once Trump gets his wall he better hope no one shows Mexico this old video we found. pic.twitter.com/FtzeGlmecz
