I’m Obsessed with this Cover of Toto’s “Africa.”

It’s not every day that a random YouTube video gets over 10 million views.

When I saw that this choir—Angel City Chorale—had managed to get more than 13 million, I had no idea what to expect. Once the singing began and I realized what I was in for, I was over the moon. And I promise you won’t be disappointed.

There is something so beautiful, uplifting, and deeply satisfying about their cover of this classic song.

I’m not sure how many of the 13.47 million views are from me watching it on repeat—but it’s certainly more than I would like to admit.

So, without further ado, here’s a little ear candy to energize your week:

Having lived in Africa for a few years and experienced those rains ( especially fun with a tin roof), I really appreciated this rendition. Well done!

Very nice. I wish the background support vocals had been a little softer during the chorus so we could better hear the harmonies. But still, enjoyable.

This reminded me of another lovely version of “Africa”, sung in the Irish language by students in Galway, Ireland. Their youthful passion and enjoyment in singing the song are delightful:
