How to Create A Benevolent Aura

Everyone has an aura, but what exactly is an aura? It sounds mysterious because it’s not a physical thing you can touch, but it is something that can be felt and sensed. The aura is a type of energy which radiates from not only our bodies, but from our core being. Everyone’s body has a temperature of approximately 98.6 degrees F, but you don’t have to actually touch the skin to feel the warmth coming from another person’s body. This warmth is part of the aura. This energy also contains a person’s thoughts and feelings, which are more subtle to detect. Everything that I am is in my aura.

It is not always easy to notice a person’s aura. In some people it can be less developed. However, if a person is experiencing intense emotions, such as anger or fear, then this energy can be sensed much easier, just by being near, even if they are not saying anything or expressing the emotions through their body language. Also, how easily one can sense auras depends on how attuned one is to these subtle energies. Some are more sensitive than others.

If one is feeling happy, there will be happiness in one’s aura; if one is feeling unhappy, there will be unhappiness in one’s aura. Auras can change from day to day, from moment to moment, but generally if one is a happy person and full of hope the aura will be charged with happiness and hope as well. Likewise, if one is an unhappy, worrisome person, then the aura will be influenced with unhappiness and worry.

How does one create a more benevolent aura? This is what I have been doing. First, I believe that I can make a change for the better. Then, I apply my will so that I can make it happen. I ask God to help me do this. I have a daily prayer/meditation practice. I pray for the beauty and the glory of God. I pray for kindness. I ask God to teach me how to love God, how to love others, and how to love myself. There may be people that I don’t like, and I may not know how to love them, but God knows how to teach me this. So, I meditate on these prayers, and this has been working for me. In doing this kind of practice over the years, I have noticed that I am a kinder, more compassionate and loving person than I was before. But it doesn’t have to take years. One can change one’s aura simply by thinking happy thoughts in a matter of minutes. I have found though that it is important to practice this daily.

There are many sayings that support this theory, such as “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he,” (Proverbs 23:7, King James Version) and “If I change my thoughts, I will change my habits; as I change my habits, I will change my character; by changing my character, I change my destiny” (Unknown).

The idea is that if I ask for what I want, then it shall be. This is a universal law of life. “Ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find, knock and the door shall be opened” (Matthew 7:7, King James Version). Also, if we who are imperfect will give good things to our children when they ask, then how much more will God give to us when we ask? So, if we ask for kindness, beauty, glory, and the love of God, just imagine the scope of the gifts that God will bestow upon us. One can cultivate benevolence in this way. If one has a benevolent aura, one is bathed by one’s own benevolence.

Now it is up to all of us to do the work to create our own benevolent aura, thus creating a better, more beautiful life for all of us.
