Healing Digestion: An Energetic Approach to A Strong And Healthy Solar Plexus

Let’s face it, without good digestion and absorption, our bodies can’t supply us with the energy we need to do live our lives with vitality and passion.

That’s the first important awareness.

Second, is the fact that energetically, we’ve all had events in our lives that have left us feeling dis-empowered.  Many of us have survived incredible traumas and abuse. And many have internalized or repressed feelings and emotions from those events.

But, no matter what we’ve endured…

When we feed our solar plexus some love and light from the Earth and it will respond in kind.

We can’t expect any part of your body to be filled with health and joy when we feed it dead food.

Traumatic experiences can raise havoc on our self-worth, self-esteem, and all the challenges associated with a strong personal power and will.

On the bright side, it can all be healed!

Since we’re bundles of energy, down to the core cellular level, we can address the issues and restore balance with an energetic approach.

One of my favorite approaches is using and applying energetic principles of food.

Health starts with the raw materials that we ingest.

Certainly that includes the foods we eat–the quality and vibration of the foods we put into our bodies.

For the sensitive empath, we resonate deeply with the feelings and emotions of nourishment and love.

Personally, I feel the love in my food when I eat food that  comes from local farms that have a passion for the Earth. I feel the love in food that is grown clean, organic, and local … by farmers working the land as a labor of love. I feel their light and energy in the food they grow.  And I feel the light and energy in the farm products I get from farmers who raise animals humanely and with respect.

Our health is also cultivated by the thoughts we feed ourselves.

You can’t expect to have a healthy solar plexus if you eat great food but feed yourself a big helping of negative thinking on a daily basis.  You can feed yourself negative emotions of shame and unworthiness every day, and expect to have a strong personal power center.

Our bodies aren’t built to withstand all that negative emotion that constricts the energy of our cells.

Our thoughts are the most precious food we can feed yourself.

Let them be nourishing. Let them be loving. Let them be kind. Every one of us has a gift to share with the world.  It’s what makes us powerful and unique. It may be hiding inside but it is there.

What has ever happened in the past, let your understanding be that it was to help you grow.  Rise above it.  And when I say rise I mean raise your energy and vibration.   You everything you need to live in health and joy–search for self-love and empowerment.

We are stronger than we ever imagine.  Shift you thinking to embrace the idea that everything adversity has been to show you how strong and worthy you really are.

Feed yourself light. Feed yourself love…physically, mentally, emotionally.

Stop feeding yourself judgement, worry, and fear.

You are light.   You get glimpses of it.  But then you doubt what you see and feel. Allow the full expression of your light in the world.  When you resist the Truth it makes you sick inside, as you crush down and contract your solar plexus.

Our health is cultivated not only by the food we eat but also by the thoughts we feed ourselves.

Every day in my coaching practice I talk to clients that are hiding their brilliance, afraid to express themselves, and they wonder why their neck hurts.  And they wonder why they have digestive problems.

Energetically, when we don’t speak up the energy gets trapped in our throat center.  And when we don’t speak up we develop an energy deficiency in our solar plexus.

How many times have you circled round and round in your head about how you wish you had spoken up about something, but didn’t?   When this happens, (which it does a lot with empaths), the energy becomes excessive in your head/mind.

If you only have 100 “circuits” to run your body and 80% of them are invested in your mind, that doesn’t leave much to run the functions of the rest of your body.

So not only is it critical to eat vibrantly energetic food, it’s also important to be diligent about the mental and emotional diet you feed yourself.

And if it isn’t supporting you in a positive way you need to change it!

It’s time for a reset.

Trust me,  you are not alone.  It’s one of the biggest challenges I see when working with clients.  But, know this you can shift it.  It just takes practice.

In order to be your true self you need to build a body and soul with stamina.

Feed it love!

Fall and the change of season’s is a great time for detoxifying and shedding what no longer serves your soul’s purpose. It’s a good time to support and empower your solar plexus to get rid of heat, anger, and frustration that can be stored in the liver and digestive tract.  Consider doing a gentle ayurvedic cleanse and juicing fresh vegetables from your local harvest.

Building strong digestion and solar plexus doesn’t have to be difficult.  It’s the result of making cumulative, positive choices.

Action Steps:
1. Pick two new habits you’d like to develop.

Choose one that is food related, like juicing.

Or eliminate a food you know is not supporting you.

2.Choose another that is related to your mental and emotional diet.

Maybe it’s an intention and affirmation to shift your beliefs about your gifts and talents?

3. Commit to the new habit for 40 days.

Keep a journal or notepad of any subtle changes or big “A-ha moments” during the 40 days.

Then evaluate the outcome and effects and see if it is a beneficial habit you’d like to continue…

One that will support your physical and emotional growth and well-being.

When it comes to healthy digestion, it’s not just about taking the right herbs or probiotics.  or being vegan or vegetarian.  We all know someone who has followed all the best diet and exercise tips and gotten cancer. If food was the only determining factor in health it would be a no-brainer.

But our solar plexus can only be healthy when we combine sensible eating with a healthy helping of self-love, When we feed our self-worth and self esteem positive messages.
