New Generation: Taking Steps towards Underrated Places of Morocco

New times demands new variations.

Life, love, work, goals, travelling? Every notion has dimensioned itself far from reality these days.

One might wonder, plan even what to do and how to do it but then there are times when plans don’t work out either and that’s a real bummer.

Travelling is soothing for the soul. I’m sure at some point one might think to become a hobo and keep moving like a nomad from one point to another.

There are pretty amazing, mindboggling sights in the world that will never cease to amaze with the works of natural miracles. But what about the places that are not visited often? Are they not beautiful enough? Or we prefer only to travel based on word of mouth from one another?

Let me tell you what? Make your own choices.

Relying on else’s experience is like living their life instead of yours. Make your own choice right or wrong you are the one to decide how it will go.

Taking a Pick for Your Own Good

When I go, I’m never coming back to that old life I have been living. It actually felt like living under the rock until I started travelling my way around different corners of the world.

Making a difference in your own life can be a life-changing discovery for you. I realized it sooner than later when I went on my first trip to Morocco.

Morocco is amazing as I have heard and searched about it online. It’s like online shopping you get to see everything but without a trial, you always doubt the features. With the richness of history and culture that travellers most of the times rely on are one of the prime reason for choosing Morocco but you should know a country has a lot to offer only if you got the eye to see through it.

Morocco is home to not only Rabat (it’s capital), Marrakech (the Red City), Chefchaouen (Blue Pearl) but to those places as well that has often been neglected by the tourists.

Why is that?

Well, the same city can result in varying experiences for every person. Some might like it, some not. Take a pick that is solely yours to make.

The big sisters might take your attention but never miss out on the baby towns. They equally grasp your attention; these cities are like silent observers waiting to be treated.

  1. Little Marrakech

Marrakech is famous for its souks but how about a mini version? Telltales of rooftops of Taradount, is the merger of discovery and fun of Morocco holiday.

The city basks in the early and sinking sun at just the right moment. A Berber town at its utmost bequest of fruit and vegetable vendors selling their hard work away in the labyrinths of the reminiscence of this city looks like any other day at your home town.

That’s the best version of being on a holiday and yet, feeling at home under the foreign sun.

  1. Asilah

There’s something aggravating about the hillside cities. At least that’s how I felt. You get to have an amazing view from a hilltop and moving in the maze of streets going up and down in the mural is a venture of its own.

What makes it more unique is the seaside medina. The fresh sea waves distilling in the air around the bystander stalls…just grab the basket and buy something fresh, or you can easily take a history preview of Palais de Raissouli.

Grab a blanket and enjoy an evening full of art and music festival hosted every year in the blue and white streets displaying it as more of a traditional hemisphere.

  1. Oujda

Having the busiest border with Algeria, this city despite rich history lacks the rating as a popular destination. Standing quietly in the shadows of its bigger sister cities, this city is a quiet historical piece of mind for discoverers.

Situated around Mediterranean coastline is one of the reasons why people might prefer to travel much further here. To be known for its Mediterranean forests and old city architecture it’s a deep link city of Morocco.

  1. Sidi Ifni

Nearby the dunes of Sahara Desert is the small coastal city of Sidi Ifni with its quiet beaches and the fresh breeze coming from the seaside is what makes it impossible to deny roaming along the paths.

Get lost in the calls (streets) of Sidi Ifni and get a day out for a sunbathing or spend it water surfing or diving. And why not enjoy an evening’s mint tea with the locales? Sharing your own stories and listening to nightingale versions.

  1. Al Hoceima

The headlines of a north lie here. Entwined between the Mediterranean coast and Riff mountains it can become busy with heavy wild explorers but yet still undermined by the big shows of another elder version of cities.

Small but independent to its core, the Cliffside city is taking its right as a tourist destination in Morocco. Cruise spotting is more common and often here making it another highlight for those who love travelling via seaside.

  1. Khenifra

Along the river, Oum Er-Rbia is the golden city of Khenifra. Why I’m calling it golden? Why not see it for yourself?

It’s a natural reserve at its best, giving the sightseers a time to wonder and pause and rethink their perspective on life.

Scenic lakes, national parks, wildlife extended to the river, is a wild ride to this city. Khenifra holiday definitely outbid itself as a smaller city.

Changing ways can create a new path for you and the next generation to come.

And what’s better than being the new generation unveiling the new discoveries and making their mark by travelling there? Little by little bring something new to unravel about.

Be the first among the new generation of travellers.

Be bigger than minds of closed minds restraining the effort to appreciate a new place.

Make discovery of your own!
