My Supplement-free Vegan Diet Left me Lacking Vitamin B. {Partner}

It was 1998 and I was working at my life’s mission at a non-stop pace.

Private cooking for a number of families; teaching cooking classes and various volunteer work filled my days. 

I was fatigued at night but took on each new day with vigor. What could go wrong? Well, everything.

Wait…what? 

I ate a perfectly balanced vegan diet, with lots of whole grains, veggies, beans, nuts, seeds, fruit, and good quality fats. Or did I? 

Turns out, regardless of diet, many of us may need to supplement Vitamin B12. But what’s the best way for our bodies to absorb this precious and essential vitamin? 

For me, after some experimentation, it came down a combination of B12 injections and Breathe B12 for my day-to-day wellness and to keep my levels where they should be, which isn’t always easy.
