Here’s how to map out your goals and aspirations so you’re more likely to achieve them

One of the ways we as people hurt ourselves without realizing it is that we allow ourselves to think about doing something more than we actually do it. Granted, this is part of human nature. We often like to think things through in every way imaginable, mulling over different outcomes more so than we actually spend time with forward motion, taking action. This is a really roundabout way of saying that we think more than we do, which is the source of a lot of insecurity and anxiety.

Remaining mindful of our goals, not fixated on them, motivates us to take action instead of considering what to do next. All of this is to say, I think it’s really important to have attainable goals and map them out. How can you take action, if you don’t know where you want to go?

Make an effort to map out your goals, projects, or values so that you don’t have to ruminate on them. You’ll actually reach them.

Here are some creative ways to keep track of the steps you’re taking to reach your goals and crush your projects.

Bullet Journal

Starting a bullet journal helps you organize your thoughts in any way that works for you. This is a fun way to keep track of routines or really whatever it is you’re hoping to track your progress on.

Don’t skimp on the creative expression here, either. You should absolutely use colors, different pens, or whatever it is that helps you find the practice useful and motivating.

Mood Boards.

Making a resurgence in creative expression are mood boards. It really doesn’t matter what your goal or project focuses on. Whether you’re working on a branding project for your side hustle, or you’re redesigning your house, mood boards help you get in the act of doing instead of thinking. And they’re pretty to look at.

You can set mood boards up for fashion inspiration, aspiration motivation, outfit ideas, decor aesthetics, and more.

Pinterest Boards

There’s almost nothing better than Pinterest to help you find inspiration and creative motivation to take action. Pinterest even shows you Pinteresting trends, now.

Pinterest is full of ideas, artful quotes, style examples, and realistically — anything else you can imagine.

Whether you’re looking for the next trend to inspire your home redecoration or you want to find a way to DIY just about anything, Pinterest boards can help you organize your inspiration so you stay motivated.

Not only that, but Pinterest shows you what’s popular, too. Rather than scrolling through social media for hours for inspiration, Pinterest can show you what other people are looking for, too. And while going with the crowd, or what’s popular, won’t always get you where you want to go, sometimes it works great for inspiration.
