Quarantine Described Beautifully

Animals run our streets now. Four legged and two.
They don’t bare their human faces. Masked behind a fur of cloth.

The highways are empty, we stay home to save a life.
For some home is the hunting ground.
They Reclaim our empty cities. Animals. Eerily empty cities.

Times square is times zero is zero.
The city that never sleeps.
Closed eyes today more then the twin towers did.
The home of the brave and afraid.

Daydreaming of Pasta dinners on the Eternal city roads.
How Eternal they must not feel. Roma Invicta was conquered after all.
Everything will be alright they say.
In a language I do not speak, yet everything will be alright I repeat.

He stopped giving money to who?
To W.H.O.
It will stop when?
We stay home to save a life.

Cries water our empty streets, uniforms grow wings.
Air becomes currency. Paper is bills.
2 meters and 6 feet compete.
Just stay away from me.

Uncle Sam has a virus. It’s called Greed.
But we are the ones choking.
