The Power of Rest

This is what our world is currently doing. Normally though we do live in a world of hustle and bustle, where overworking is the norm. and we’d turn to stimulants to feel better.

Living this way can be draining to say the least. It’s our physical, mental and emotional health and our relationships with ourselves and with others that suffer.

We wonder why we are feeling depleted, exhausted and/or disconnected. And even if we know the answer, we continue to push ourselves. We ask why we can’t be more resilient, efficient and passionate about the things we do?

While it’s due to the very lack of rest but the underlying issue that is keeping us in that cycle of hustle and bustle and holding us back from feeling healthy, from being more passionate and pro-active in different areas of our lives, lies in our unconscious mind.

So here are some external restful activities you can try:

– Go for a walk in nature

– read

– list to music

– Just do anything

We encourage you to be observant of what happens when you do decide to rest. If you are someone, like me who use to be on the run for sometime, you will find many things in the form of people and circumstances that seem very important appear in your physical world so you wont have time for yourself to rest.

When you find yourself in this situation, we’d like you to ask yourself these questions:

– How is being overworked serving me?

– How is it limiting me?

– What would happen if I were to drop everything that is of high importance right now and listen to my body’s needs?

We are the creator of our world. What we see in our physical world is a reflection of our mind.
