The Light at the End of the Tunnel

I’m laying on my back on top of a mountain,

My eyes gazed up into the sky.

Darkness surrounds me,

And there’s nothing but the light from the moon and the stars.

I lay there for a moment,

Moment by moment passing,

Mesmerized by the twinkling and blinking of the stars above me,

Feeling small, even smaller than I did,

Smaller my problems seemed.

I stare up, the stars twinkle me to sleep and as time passes,

This time,

The sun finds me and illuminates my surroundings.
