As we all know, accountability must come before forgiveness.
Or, do we? Perhaps true forgiveness is unconditional, and does not depend on the resolution of differences. Perhaps our expectation of forgiveness is itself merely a manifestation of ego, of our own self-righteousness.
We must come together, again, and forgive. But that renunciation of hate must be genuine. The waking up from supporting a toxic human being with immense power must be genuine.
