A letter to my sixteen year old self.

Life won’t always be easy, and you will have a habit for being over-sensitive and being hurt easily. Please don’t be surprised if for some unknown reason people are unkind when all you want to do is be a friend to them, eventually you will understand that this is just what some people are like but it still hurts nevertheless.

Some days it will feel like you are wading through mud and other days you will be flying. This is life, you’ve got to take the rough with the smooth, and make the most of those sunny days.

Things that you thought would be forever are suddenly no longer, and things that you thought were no longer will suddenly be forever.

This is the beauty and mystery of life!.

Just when you think that the winter will never end, suddenly the gift of spring lands on your doorstep with a stoic fragility.

Often the greatest storms have their purpose, sometimes the sea needs to be violent to wash away the driftwood and old leaves from the shore.

Even the mightiest oaks get up-rooted sometimes.

Keep breathing.

Keep believing.

Keep dreaming.

Keep the faith.

I am so glad that you are here, I am so pleased that you exist.

I am proud of you.
