Feminine {Poem}

Photo by Josh Sorenson on Pexels.

Is not makeup

Is not hair length

Is not breasts

Waist

Hips

Or ratio

It’s not a smile

Owed to anyone

It is not compliance

Acquiescence

Or demur

Feminine

Is the power of the moon

Driving ocean tides

Without a visible force

Feminine is divinity

Creation and culling

The all encompassing

Balance

The dance of life and death

The mother in the birthing room

And the death at the doorstep

Feminine is transition

The space between

Black and white

The changing seasons

The raging storm

And gentle breeze

It is the ferocious

And gentle

Embodiment of love

That connects all things
