5 Feng Shui tips to protect your home from bad energy

Feng Shui is one of the best things that can create a strong foundation for your home. You can use the Feng Shui tips to not only protect your home from negative energy but also extend to your family members as they are living there as well. If your home is full of all the positive energy then the rest of your life will also be equipped with positive energy. Here are 5 simple steps that you can take to protect your home from negative energy.

1. Remove the unnecessary arrows

The arrows are defined as the “In” or the “Out” or anything similar that might be blocking your front door. Do you have plants, shelves or home décor hanging over your furniture or your bed ? Or over anyone’s bed in your home ? Do you see any sharp corners pointing towards you or at wherever you spend most of your time in your home?

According to Feng Shui, these are also called the “ poison arrow and are indirectly dangerous to you. Allocate the ones you can and cover the ones you can’t with fabric or other furniture which will help to divert the energy.

2. Fix all the leaks in your home

Leaks in Feng Shui represent a leaking energy which is a way that the positive energy is draining from your home. Once the new energy has entered your home, you for sure want it to stay in your home and keep circulating.

So try your best to look around your home for any leakage and fix it, whether it be a leaking roof, leaking refrigerator, leaking pipes or leaking shower. And get it fixed ASAP!

3. Create a good flow in your home

This brings the meaning to decluttering and cleaning your space. Move our unnecessary furniture that makes your room feel tight or unwelcoming. Remove unwanted items from the floor or stuff that you tend to trip over.

Schedule a day to clean them and get rid of them to create a sense of harmony in your home.

4. Create a better front door

The front door is the pathway where good energy gets into your homes. So it’s crucial to have your front door reflect how you want to feel. Do you want to feel happy, full of energy and joyful ? So go ahead and start with your front door! Here are some small tips that you can get started with: Sweep, dust and mop down the door and make sure all the hardware is working well.

So with these steps, when the positive energy approaches your door, you want it to face a clean entrance.

5. Create a strong flooring

Some of us tend to overlook our flooring. Does your home have carpet or rugs covering the floor ? Do you have certain areas in your home that use slippers and cause you to fall ? Or are your floors way cooler to walk on ? Carpets and rugs are a good form of warmth and safety but also grounds the room of your home. Also be sure to always keep your floors clean and shiny- if you need to clean them or get them fixed, then definitely do whatever that needs to be done for a clean floor.
