Crush {A Poem}

Photo by Daria Nekipelova on Pexels.

Butterfly kisses’ erupt in an anxious stomach as your image crosses my mind.

I hold this to myself, becoming a cocoon of anticipation

waiting to take flight in a groundless direction of possibilities.

A pure smile moves across my face. Delighted, I am high on love unclaimed.

My heart aches to confess these secrets.

A million butterflies released. Crushing  into an unknown force.
