The Lessons of Covid by Michelle Christides

Our species is four-million-years old — something we have “just found out” in the last century when Science made an astounding leap in knowledge that made our story-telling about ourselves obsolete.  Twenty-five hundred years ago (comparatively a blink of our eyes), a critical mass of people alive at the time were awakening to a new consciousness around the planet — Buddha, Confucius, Lao Tse, the Vedanta, the Torah, then Jesus, and Mohammed — it lasted more than a thousand years, then failed, and civilization went into a Dark Age.

It began again when our population on the central land-mass of EurAsia and Africa found their way again to the hemisphere of the Americas, where a small number had crossed fifteen millennia before, from the far end of Asia before the land bridge sank back into the Bering Strait to Alaska.  With the reduction of population density again below the limit of the carrying-power of the land, the Dark Age became the “Enlightenment.”  But the foundation of civilization was still the imperialist, warrior-led migrations that allowed us to take over the web of life, which has now become a threat to our planet.  This patriarchal culture is dying and fighting to continue.
War, Conquest (a euphemism for Slavery), Plague, and Famine are the four social Fates that make us drop all the ego-divisiveness and come into phase with our group to amplify the frequency of our intention to survive.  The World Wars of the last century were a major species rehearsal for what was already looming, after a mere century of carbon-fueled “industry,” a mechanical redefinition of human work.
Work is what we humen do that changes the environment.  Without the awakening of our consciousness to the Planet from which it grew physically, we have become a threat to so many species that it has become a question of us or them.  The Planet has grown Life for consciousness, which has the undiscovered power as yet by science to cohere through the dynamics of electro-magnetic frequencies.  (Paul Von Ward’s experimental research and that of heartmath.org is working on evidence for this hypothesis).
When the “world” of our collective human consciousness is producing the instrument of our species suicide, only a qualitative leap in consciousness by a critical mass of our population can bring about the creative solution and consensus of intention, which the human brain has been turning on since it reached its present structural capacity spread throughout our Sapiens genome, two-hundred thousand years ago.
The lessons of this Plague of SARS CoV2 are self-evident.  When you can be taken out at any time by breathing in a virus, you are no longer going to spend your precious lifetime in meaninglessness.  Even the idea of “spending time” is a revelation when we know the drop-deadline is near for this cultural consciousness.

“Happiness is the full use of your powers along lines of excellence in a life affording scope.”

John F. Kennedy’s quotation of Ancient Greek philosopher, Epictetus

“There is only one law — the law of reciprocity. It is observed by a selfless conscience and an awakened sense of justice.”

Pir-o-Murshid Hasrat Inahat Khan, founder, the Sufi Order of the West
