We’re all so in a rush: feeding our nerves caffeine while we bemoan our “busy-ness” and tell friends who love us we “have no time.”
Everyone talks up “being vulnerable and brave,” & “be real” & “be genuine,” but the fact is that stuff is scary. It can’t be faked. There is no “how,” no path to it, we just have to do it.
Yet, too, there is a path to it. Meditation is involved. Listening, sharing, community.
This is what we do in Elephant Academy. We find our voice, & share it, in supportive community. It’s a modest investment in yourself that’ll last a lifetime.
If you’re waiting for the right moment: it’s here, now—today. Yesterday, really, but you missed that one.
Every week, we’ll write. We’ll peer-edit each other’s writing. We’ll join live classes & small groups. We’ll learn tools to empower our writing for business, life, & activism.
Join our well-loved Find your Voice course. The deadline is here: elephantjournal.com/academy.
July 18 – August 26. Now.
PS: It’s easy to give up hope when the world seems so hopeless, out there. But, as is said, the best time to plant a tree may be 20 years ago, but the second best time is today. The way out of all of our problems isn’t escapism. The way out is through—through refusing to give up.
