YOGA FOR BEGINNERS

Yoga is a great practice for beginners as it combines physical postures, Pranayama, and

meditation to promote overall health and well-being.

If you are someone who is very new to yoga and wanna learn more about yoga and its

practices so there are a few tips that you can do:

1- EDUCATE YOURSELF

The first thing you should do is educate yourself with some good yoga books and join some

yoga courses to get an idea about yoga practices When you will get an idea about yogic

practices then you are ready to practice yoga.

2- DETOXIFY

Yogic practices directly work on our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. So the

first thing you should do before the yogic practice is detoxifying your body on a physical

level by practicing some Shatkarma kriyas where Shat= six & kriya= Action. These Six

techniques purify our whole physical body Release stress and make the body healthy.

3- YOGIC ASANA

After cleansing your body you are ready to go with some practice of yogic posture.

Everybody is different in this entire universe your body is different my body is different.

Access to your body you choose the asana to perform.

There are some beginner poses from which you can start,

  • MARJARI ASANA (CAT&COW POSE)
  • TADASANA (MOUNTAIN POSE),
  • ADHO-MUKHASVANASANA ( DOWNWARD-FACING DOG),
  • URDHVAMUKHA- SVANASANA (UPWARD-FACING DOG),
  • BALASANA ( CHILD POSE),
  • TRIKON ASANA (TRIANGLE POSE),
  • WARRIOR 1 (VEERBHADRASANA).

4- PRACTICE PROPER BREATHING

Breathing is an integral part of yoga if you are breathing correctly then you will get the whole

benefits of yoga practice and enhancing your breathing pattern can help you calm your mind

and focus better.

There are few pranayamas that beginner can practice who doesn’t have any physical or

medical issue

  • Alternate nostril breathing,
  • Brahmari,
  • Kapaalbhati & Bhastrika pranayama

5- BE CONSISTENT

Be consistent with your yoga practice initially, you will find it a little hard but eventually

with consistency you will be able to see the desired results even just a few minutes of

everyday practice can make an impact.

As a beginner keep a few things in mind take practice slowly and be gentle with your body

and mind, take one step at a time then progress Hence after some time you will build

strength, flexibility, and a deeper connection within your mind, body, and soul.
