I Wish I Loved Less.

{*Did you know you can write on Elephant? Here’s how—big changes: How to Write & Make Money or at least Be of Benefit on Elephant. ~ Waylon}

~

I wish I worried more while I was alive.
I regret all my travels.
I’m glad I never took any chances.
I wish I had criticized my body more often.
I regret not spending a little more money on anti-aging eye creams.
I’m glad I yearned for youth.
I wish I laughed less.
I regret all my little catnaps in the sun.
I’m glad I looked down at my phone so much.
I wish I had way more stuff.
I regret not cleaning my house more often.
I’m glad I held on so tightly to my grudges.
I wish I had given a lot less in my life.
I regret all the moments I spent with my family near and far.
I’m glad I remained so close-minded.
I wish I never stopped to smell roses or gaze at birds or go for long walks.
I regret being a great and caring friend.
I’m glad I was so darn stubborn.
I wish I had ordered more vitamins and supplements.
I regret not being on enough diets.
I’m glad I drank all those protein shakes.
I wish I loved less.
I regret not getting into more arguments.
I’m glad I bought all those coffee mugs.
I wish I didn’t self-reflect quite as much.
I regret all the articles I wrote.
I’m glad I kept all those expired spices in my cabinet.
I wish I had looked at the clock a bit more.
I regret planting that big, beautiful tree.
I’m glad I never bothered to learn anything new.

I wish I had lived while I was alive.
I regret my lack of presence each day, pining for something intangible instead of enjoying what was right in front of my nose.
I’m glad I’ve offered you something to think about today, this day that has come and gone.
